Supported Independent Living is funding for supervising tasks of daily life in a shared living environment, either temporary or ongoing. Many people with mental illness or disabilities are unable to live on their own or with their families. Therefore group or shared accommodation allows people to receive day-to-day support whilst living in a suitable home.
Everyone in the household needs to get along, so like-minded housemates can be matched based on compatibility and shared hobbies and interests.
Under the NDIS, SIL means that between two and seven people can share a home, each with a private bedroom.
Lower needs – not usually 24/7. Includes supervision of living arrangements.
Standard needs – 24/7 support. Includes assistance and supervision of most daily tasks, and Support Worker overnight sleepovers.
24/7 active support, including overnight. Includes frequent managing challenging behaviors that require positive behavior support, and assistance with daily tasks.
Because you are unique, so your Supported Independent Living (SIL) home should be too. We help individuals develop their strengths and capabilities and encourage them to overcome barriers.
We can arrange independent living care in your private residence or at one of our available homes located throughout the Greater Brisbane area.
Securing our supported living solutions is available and straightforward, whenever, wherever, and how you prefer. We also support personal care and everyday tasks including shopping and meal preparation, travel assistance, and community access.
At Continuity Care, we provide cozy and comfortable homes that are as individual as yourself and help fulfil your sought-after lifestyle.

Before choosing a care home for yourself or your loved one, it is important to consider if it is safe and comfortable, provides quality support, and offers opportunities for social interaction. We have carefully considered this and have picked only the very few homes that meet these criteria.
That is why several NDIS participants choose us to provide them with homes that are accessible to their lifestyles and needs.
If you are currently looking for Supported Independent Living (SIL), Respite Care, ILO, or Short Term Accommodation, then you are in the right place.
